Fan Maintenance
Fan Removal
Turn off power to fans
Remove coil cover
Unplug fan from fan power supply plug located on the front face of the fan housing
Remove the fan blade nut and fan blade
Remove the two mounting bolts and remove the fan assembly from the fan housing
Remove the three fan motor mounting screws from the back of the fan motor
Fan Installation
Install the three fan motor mounting screws to the back of the fan motor
Front Edge Trim Replacement
Preparation
Ensure all necessary tools and materials are available
Is the door hinge obstructing the frame screws?
Remove Existing Edge Trim
Back-out and retain the frame screws securing the J-strip
Remove the door hinge if obstructing the frame screws
Score and remove the clear silicone bead with a razor blade
Remove the J-strip and excess silicone
Remove the damaged edge trim piece starting from the top
Refrigeration Cleaning
Preparation
Ensure the refrigeration unit is turned off before cleaning.
Remove all products from the case.
Cleaning the Interior
Use mild detergent and warm water to wipe out the inside of the case.
Avoid using abrasive cleaners inside the case.
Clean the interior glass to reduce fogging and increase visibility.
Cleaning the Glass Doors
Wash down all glass doors with glass cleaner.
Heater Element Maintenance
Heater Element Removal
Locate the defrost heaters
Secure the heater to the coil
Remove fasteners holding the heater to the floor
Remove the front heater by pulling the retaining clip away from the coil and sliding the heater out
Remove the rear heater by raising the heater retaining clip
Raise each clip above the coil
Ensure retaining clips are free of the coil
Slide the heater up with the retaining clip
Expansion Valve Maintenance
Preparation
Ensure the system is powered off
Remove the right end coil cover
Superheat Adjustment
Remove the cap from the bottom of the valve
Adjust the valve stem direction
Set the superheat setting
Measurement and Verification
Measure the suction line temperature at the expansion valve-sensing bulb
