Stryker Pneumo Sure High Flow Insufflator

Warning: This test requires trained personnel with PPE!

Test setup with open connection, without connected insufflation tube.

Set a nominal gas flow rate of 15 l/min.

Start insufflation: Press the START function field.

Press the gas volume function field (o.0 | must be displayed).

Start measuring for one minute.

Stop the insufflation after one minute: Press the STOP function field.

Was the gas consumption at least 11-12 l?

Activate the venting system (when Veress insufflation OFF is set)

Set a venting time of 3 seconds

Set a venting pressure of 3 mm Hg

Nominal Pressure and Gas Flow Configuration

Select a nominal pressure of 15 mm Hg

Select a nominal gas flow of 10 l/min

Pressure Generation and Insufflation

Generate a pressure of at least 18 mm Hg, which registers on the manometer

Does the fuse correspond with the specifications indicated by the manufacturer?

Are labels and stickers on device legible?

Does the mechanical condition of the device allow for its safe use?

Is the device clean to ensure proper and safe functionality?

Measure leakage currents according to IEC 60601-1 / EN 60601-1

Measure protective conductor resistance according to IEC 60601-1 / EN 60601-1. The protective conductor resistance is measured while device is connected to the power supply. The max. value is 0.2 S.

Measure the insulation resistance with 500-700 V DC. The min. value is 50 MS

The electric strength with high voltage cannot be measured.

WARNING! Unplug the power cable from the device before checking the fuse.

Main power supply cable properly connected to the power supply input and to a safety socket

House power supply fuse is functioning

The device does not have to be opened to replace the fuse.

Device disconnected from power supply

Power connection cable removed from mains socket

Wash the parts carefully under running water

Clean and rinse the parts with demineralized water

Let all parts drip off and dry them with a sterilized soft cloth

Before cleaning: Dismantle the Veress cannula (unscrew the insertion cannula from the insufflation cannula with stopcock open)

Wash the parts carefully under running cold and warm water

Clean the inner chamber of the Veress cannula with a cleaning pistol

For disinfection, open the stopcock at the Veress cannula

Sign off on the cleaning procedure
