Motor Replacement
Warning: Ensure the pump is disconnected from the power supply before starting the procedure.
Pump disconnected from the power supply?
Pump body removed?
Impeller removed?
Motor shroud removed and pump standing on the motor’s fan cover?
Four motor flange bolts between the motor and extension frame removed?
Back plate, extension frame and spacer flange lifted off the shaft?
Screws in the shaft muff loosened and shaft replaced?
Dirt and grease removed from the motor shaft and the muff’s internal clamping surfaces?
Shaft Seal Maintenance
Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!
Check the pump’s shaft seal for leaks
If the shaft seal is leaking, replace it or its relevant parts as described below.
Disconnect the power supply in the motor isolator by removing the fuses and disconnecting the cables.
Turn off the steam and flushing water supply.
Close the inlet and discharge of the pump and drain the pump body.
Once the inlet and outlet pipes have been closed properly, release the clamp ring or body screws, take off the pump body and remove the impeller.
Remove the stationary seal face mounted in the back plate with your fingers.
Remove the O-ring from the stationary seal face.
