Observe the 'Safety information' in Section 1

Apply PTFE based grease to mating parts if application permits

Ensure valve is depressurised and clear of media

Remove the actuator from the valve

Unscrew the stuffing box nuts (18)

Undo and remove the bonnet nuts (27)

Remove the bonnet (2) and plug and stem assembly (8)

Observe the 'Safety information' in Section 1 before actioning any maintenance.

Warning for Stainless Steel Valves

Be cautious of galling or cold welding when dismantling or reassembling stainless steel valves.

Apply PTFE based grease to mating parts before reassembly if application permits.

Inspect the valve for wear and tear.

Replace any worn or damaged parts such as valve plug and stem, valve seat, and gland seals.

Replace high temperature graphite packed seals to prevent premature failure.

Apply a light smear of PTFE based grease to mating parts before reassembly if application permits

Lift out the seat retaining cage (5)

Remove and discard the seat back gasket (7)

Replacement of Graphite Gland Packing

Remove components and replace with new items if necessary

Clean and examine components for damage or deterioration
