Furnace Inspection
Pre-Inspection Safety
Ensure no combustible material is within minimum clearance requirements as per Table 3.
Turn off the manual gas valve and electrical power to the duct furnace.
Burner Maintenance
Open the bottom panel and compress the spring to remove the main burners.
Wire brush the inside surfaces of the heat exchanger.
Clean the burners using a wire brush and/or compressed air.
Are all parts unobstructed after cleaning?
Inspect and clean the pilot burner if necessary.

Safety Precautions
Open all disconnect switches and secure in that position before servicing unit
Check gas tightness of the safety shut-off valves
Gas Tightness Check
Turn off the manual valve upstream of the appliance combination control
Remove the 1/8 inch pipe plug on the inlet side of the combination control
Connect a manometer and note the pressure reading
Turn the manual valve on to apply pressure to the combination control
