Contact Wear Indicator Adjustment
Charge the closing spring manually (page 6-4)
Close (page 6-7)
Using a screwdriver, cut the plastic indicator pin along the upper edge of the large recess
Is the indicator pin still visible?
If the indicator pin is no longer visible, the contact system must be replaced.
1 Yearly Circuit Breaker Maintenance

WARNING: High speed moving parts. Can cause serious personal injury. Discharge the closing spring before inspection and before carrying out any work on the circuit breaker.
Is the worker a qualified person?
Is the power supplying this device turned off and locked out?
Is the closing spring discharged?
Is the worker familiar with the installation, construction and operation of the equipment and the hazards involved?
Is the worker trained and authorized to energize, de-energize, clear, ground and label circuits and equipment in accordance with established safety practices?
Is the worker trained in the proper care and use of protective equipment in accordance with established safety practices?
Main Shaft Retainer Removal
Place circuit breaker in an upright position
Press and hold the contacts together
Unscrew the main shaft retainer
Remove the main shaft retainer
Remove the actuator
Attach the cover
Rear Wall Removal
Remove upper screws
Remove lower screws
Support circuit breaker
Rearwall carefully draw off to view the end position retaining springs
Note the position of the end position retaining springs
Separate and remove rearwall
Remove end position retaining springs
Circuit Breaker Removal
Warning: Only trained personnel should perform this procedure.
Circuit breaker cranked into the disconnected position
Racking handle unlocked / withdrawn
NOTICE: Racking Handle Damage. Turning the racking handle beyond the stop will cause damage to the racking mechanism.
Racking handle pushed in
Racking handle rotated counter-clockwise until it can be stowed
Circuit breaker pulled into withdrawn position and removed
Sign off on the circuit breaker removal
