Removal of Old Electronic Control

Remove screws attaching control to door of enclosure

Remove and discard wire tie-wraps

Preparation for New Installation

Identify individual wire location before removing any wiring from the electronic control

Refer to the electrical wiring diagram

Installation of New Electronic Control

Install new electronic control panel

Install wiring in accordance with electrical wiring diagram

Disconnect conduit from elbow of probe

Cut wires and remove probe from the discharge end of the airend

Install new probe into discharge tube

Connect wires of new probe to existing wires using suitable splice and insert into conduit

Connect conduit to elbow of probe

Ensure maintenance is performed by trained and qualified technicians only.

Check for unusual noise or vibration and do not operate the compressor until the source is identified and corrected.

Wait for the unit to cool before starting service.

Clean up fluid spills immediately to prevent slipping.

Loosen, but do not remove, flange or component bolts and check for residual pressure before removing bolts.

Use safety solvents for cleaning air filters or compressor parts.

Belt Drive Inspection Procedure

Inspect sheave grooves for nicks.

Locate the pressure transducer in the upper left-hand corner of the panel

Trace wires from transducer to the microprocessor

Disconnect transducer wires at microprocessor

Remove transducer from Teflon bushing

Ensure maintenance is performed by trained and qualified technicians only.

Is there any unusual noise or vibration from the compressor?

Wait for the unit to cool before starting service.
