Belt Replacement
Preparation
Lock out and tag out the electrical power supply
Remove panels and guards to gain access to belt drive area
Belt Removal and Inspection
Release tension on belts by loosening locknut (1) and backing off jackbolt (2)
Remove existing belts (and discard, if replacing)
Check sheaves for nicks, wear, and misalignment before reinstalling belts
Inspect new (or used) belts for defects or damage before installation

Ensure maintenance is performed by trained and qualified technicians only.
Is the unit cool before starting service?
Clean up any fluid spills immediately to prevent slipping.
Are flange or component bolts loosened but not removed?
Is a safety solvent used for cleaning air filters or compressor parts?
Air Filter Maintenance
Is the air filter serviced as needed?
Inspect for dirt in the following areas
2000 Hourly Air Compressor V-Belt Check
NOTICE: Maintenance should be performed by trained and qualified technicians only.
CAUTION: Unusual noise or vibration indicates a problem. Do not operate the compressor until the source has been identified and corrected.
Wait for the unit to cool before starting service. Temperatures may exceed 180°F when the compressor is operating.
Clean up fluid spills immediately to prevent slipping.
Loosen, but do not remove, flange or component bolts. Carefully pry apart to be sure there is no residual pressure before removing bolts.
Never use a flammable solvent such as gasoline or kerosene for cleaning air filters or compressor parts.
Safety solvents are available and should be used in accordance with their instructions.
Check roll pin indicator position in slot and replace V-belts if at or near allowable travel.
Belt Drive Inspection Procedure
Electronic Control Replacement
Preparation
Remove the screws attaching control to door of enclosure
Remove and discard wire tie-wraps
Wiring Identification
Identify individual wire location before removing any wiring from the electronic control
Refer to the electrical wiring diagram
Installation
Install new electronic control panel
Install wiring in accordance with electrical wiring diagram
Sensors Replacement
Removal of Old Sensor
Disconnect conduit from elbow of probe
Cut wires and remove probe from the discharge end of the airend
Installation of New Sensor
Install new probe into discharge tube
Connect wires of new probe to existing wires using suitable splice and insert into conduit
Connect conduit to elbow of probe
Post-Installation Testing
Complete HAT tests
