NOTICE: Maintenance should be performed by trained and qualified technicians only.

CAUTION: Unusual noise or vibration indicates a problem. Do not operate the compressor until the source has been identified and corrected.

Wait for the unit to cool before starting service. Temperatures may exceed 180°F when the compressor is operating.

Clean up fluid spills immediately to prevent slipping.

Loosen, but do not remove, flange or component bolts. Carefully pry apart to be sure there is no residual pressure before removing bolts.

Never use a flammable solvent such as gasoline or kerosene for cleaning air filters or compressor parts.

Safety solvents are available and should be used in accordance with their instructions.

Monitor all gauges and indicators for normal operation.

Disconnect conduit from elbow of probe

Cut wires and remove probe from the discharge end of the airend

Install new probe into discharge tube

Connect wires of new probe to existing wires using suitable splice and insert into conduit

Connect conduit to elbow of probe

Ensure maintenance is performed by trained and qualified technicians only.

Is the unit cooled down before starting service?

Clean up any fluid spills immediately to prevent slipping.

Loosen, but do not remove, flange or component bolts to check for residual pressure.

Air/Fluid Separator Maintenance

Check electrical continuity between all separator element metal surfaces.

Test the separator element for continuity

Is the compressor bonded to an earth ground?

Ensure maintenance is performed by trained and qualified technicians only.

Is there any unusual noise or vibration from the compressor?

Wait for the unit to cool before starting service.

Clean up any fluid spills immediately.

Loosen, but do not remove, flange or component bolts to check for residual pressure.

Ensure the Belt Tension Tester (P/N 142645) is available

Rotate pulleys a minimum of 2 revolutions before taking measurements

Measure Span Length and Set O-Ring

Select method for positioning the large o-ring

Apply force at center of span to measure deflection force

Read deflection force on the upper scale of the tension tester
