100 Hourly Welding Generator Maintenance
Caution: Stop engine before maintaining.
Clean And Tighten Battery Connections
If engine does not crank, check battery voltage as follows:
Place Engine Control switch in the Off position.
Remove bolts, and pull out battery tray.
Remove terminal covers from battery.
Battery voltage
If battery voltage is less than 12.4 volts, charge battery following battery charger's instructions.
To replace battery, proceed as follows: Disconnect battery cables, negative cable first.
200 Hourly Welding Generator Maintenance
Caution: Stop engine before maintaining.
Check Valve Clearance.
Replace Fuel Filter. (See section 6-2)
Stop engine, and allow to cool.
Fuel Filter: See engine manual for replacement.
Hose Clamp: Remove clamps and filter.
Fuel Line: Inspect and replace line if cracked.
Reinstall hose clamps with new filter. Wipe up any spilled fuel.
Start engine, and check for fuel leaks.
50 Hourly Welding Generator Maintenance
Caution: Stop engine before maintaining.
Cooling system cleaned?
Weld terminals cleaned and tightened?
Oil changed?
Oil filter changed?
Sign off on the maintenance

Fuse Holder With Fuse F1 (See Parts List For Rating)
F1 protects the exciter excitation winding from overload. if weld and auxiliary power output stops, F1 may be open.
In-Line Fuse F2 (See Parts List For Rating)
F2 protects the engine control components from overload. If weld and auxiliary power output stops, F2 may be open.
To check a fuse, remove top cover and left side panel. Replace fuse if open. Reinstall cover and panel before operating unit.
