Disconnect electric power to the ice machine head section and the remote condensing unit at the electric service switches

Clean the washable aluminum filter with mild soap and water

Clean the outside of the condenser with a soft brush or a vacuum with a brush attachment

Shine a flashlight through the condenser to check for dirt between the fins

If dirt remains between the fins

Blow compressed air through the condenser fins from the inside

Use a commercial condenser coil cleaner

Ensure the area around the ice machine is clear

Gather cleaning materials suitable for stainless steel

Clean the area around the ice machine

Sponge dust and dirt off the ice machine exterior with mild soap and water

Wipe the exterior dry with a clean, soft cloth

Remove heavy stains with stainless steel wool

Wear rubber gloves and safety goggles (and/or face shield) when handling ice machine Cleaner or Sanitizer.

Set the toggle switch to the OFF position after ice falls from the evaporator at the end of a Harvest cycle or allow the ice to melt off the evaporator.

Place the toggle switch in the CLEAN position.

Add the proper amount of ice machine cleaner after water flows over the evaporator.

Water Fittings and Lines Inspection

Check all water fittings for leaks

Refrigeration Tubing Inspection

Ensure refrigeration tubing is not rubbing against other tubing

Ensure refrigeration tubing is not vibrating against panels

Ensure no items are placed on the sides or back of the ice machine

Check for adequate airflow through and around the ice machine
