Locate the handles at the top-front of the air filter

Lift handles slightly up and out to remove the air filter

Check that the air filter is removed without damage

Inspect the air filter for any visible damage or wear

Clean the area around the air filter compartment

Unsnap the bottom cover at its top left and right sides (Location 1)

Unsnap each of the small C-hooks located in the middle of the bottom cover (Location 2)

Lift the hinges on the bottom cover up and out of the channels molded to the left, right, and middle of the indoor unit (Location 3)

Set aside the bottom cover to re-install after all procedures are complete

Match the hooks and grooves on the air filter to the hooks and grooves at the top-back of the indoor unit

Match the air filter bars and grooves to the grooves and hooks at the top-front of the indoor unit

Snap the air filter to the indoor unit using thumbs

Check the sides of the front grille to verify the air filter is assembled correctly

Turn power back on to the system

Use a ladder to assemble and disassemble the air filter
