Turn the power OFF to prevent unintentional starting of the sewing machine.

Remove rubber plug ❹ from the top surface of the machine arm.

Adjust the feed timing by moving the feed eccentric cam.

Loosen setscrews ❷ and ❸ of feed eccentric cam ❶ through adjustment hole A.

Move the feed eccentric cam in the direction of the arrow or in the opposite direction of the arrow.

Firmly tighten the setscrews after adjustment.

Ensure the top surface of feed dog and the top end of needle eyelet are flush with the top surface of throat plate when the feed dog descends below the throat plate.

Ensure the power plug is not connected before starting lubrication.

Wash immediately if oil contacts eyes or skin.

Store oil out of reach of children to prevent ingestion.

Remove rubber plug from the top of the machine arm.

Add oil through the oil inlet using the accessory funnel.

Check that the oil level is between the upper and lower engraved marker lines.

Is the oil level between the marker lines?

WARNING: Turn the power OFF before proceeding

Adjust thread guide for heavy-weight materials

Move thread guide ❶ to the left (direction A)

Verify increased length of thread pulled out by the thread take-up

Adjust thread guide for light-weight materials

Move thread guide ❶ to the right (direction B)

Verify decreased length of thread pulled out by the thread take-up

Normal positioning of thread guide

Ensure marker line C is aligned with the center of the screw

Ensure the slip between the blue marker dot on the handwheel and the concave of the cover is excessive after thread trimming.

Turn the power ON while keeping switch (13) and switch (14) held pressed.

Confirm 'ZAJ' appears on the display section.

Main-shaft Reference Signal Detection

Turn the pulley of the machine head by hand until the main-shaft reference signal is detected.

Record the degree of angle from the mainshaft reference signal displayed on section A.

Align the blue dot ❶ of the handwheel with the concave ❷ of the cover.

Confirmation of the amount of oil in the hook

Remove the slide plate and ensure fingers do not contact the hook

Has the machine been sufficiently warmed up for operation?

Run the machine idle for approximately three minutes if not warmed up

Place the oil confirmation paper under the hook immediately after the machine stops

Is the oil surface in the oil shield between the 'MAX. line' and the 'MIN. line'?

Complete the oil confirmation within five seconds

Adjusting the amount of oil in the hook
