Replace secondary engine air filter

Raise boom and lock in raised position.

Stop engine and engage park brake.

Open engine cover and remove left engine side panel.

Remove the dust unloader valve (3) and clean out any dust found in the drop tube.

Install dust unloader valve or replace if found worn or damaged.

Unlatch service cover latches (1) and remove service cover.

Check hydraulic reservoir oil level

Check and drain water separator fuel filter

Check and drain auxiliary fuel filter and water separator-if equipped

Lubricate boom linkage, cylinder pivot points, and Quik-Tatch™ linkage (Every 50 Hours)

Take engine oil sample (Every 250 Hours)

Sign off on the 10 Hourly / Daily Maintenance

Run engine a few minutes to warm oil

Engage park brake and stop engine

Remove two outer cap screws from access cover and pull out cover with attached engine oil drain hose

Place suitable container under hose plug and remove hose plug. Allow oil to drain into container

After oil is drained, install hose plug

Open engine cover and remove right engine side panel

Clean dirt or debris from around engine oil filter

Place suitable container under drip tray below the engine oil filter

Engage park brake and stop engine

Remove access cover and drain engine oil

Install hose plug after oil is drained

Open engine cover and remove right engine side panel

Clean dirt or debris from around engine oil filter

Remove oil filter and drain excess oil

Apply clean engine oil on seal of new filter and install filter

Engine cover and side panels removed

Coolant drain hose routed through access cover opening

Radiator drain valve opened and coolant drained

Radiator drain valve closed after draining

Cooling system filled with clean water and John Deere Cooling System Cleaner
