Inspect system for unusual noises

Ensure vent terminals are clear of obstructions

Ensure combustible materials are away from the boiler

Ensure flammable liquids and vapors are away from the boiler

Remove and clean the condensate trap

Ensure the condensate trap is completely refilled before firing the boiler

Check the pH level of condensate discharge if neutralization is used

Burner Inspection and Maintenance

Is the burner operating properly?

Remove and clean or replace the burner if operating improperly

Use a CO2 analyzer to determine proper combustion

Turn off the electric power and gas supply to the boiler

Ensure the boiler cools down to the surrounding temperature

Remove the cabinet door and top cover/lid

Use a ladder or step for a clear vertical view of the work area

Disconnect the electrical wires

Undo the coupler nut and retain the gasket

Remove the nuts that attach the fan to the heat exchanger lid

Carefully remove the fan and Venturi mixing device assembly, and then the fan gasket

Wear long sleeved, loose fitting clothing, gloves, and eye protection.

Wash with soap and water after contact.

Wash potentially contaminated clothes separately and rinse washing machine thoroughly.

Discard used insulation in an air tight plastic bag.

For eye contact, irrigate and wash immediately.

For breathing issues, provide fresh air.

Water Temperature and Setpoint Verification

Record current water temperature target

Record current water temperature setpoint

Are the temperature target and setpoint satisfactory?

Check operating history using the boiler's Logs menu

Check error logs using the boiler's Error Logs menu
