Warning: This cleaning procedure requires a trained technician!

Electrical power to the merchandiser disconnected?

Shelves, display racks, deck pans, CAD gusset, and canopy light channel removed?

Panels attached to CAD tower removed?

Waste outlets verified open and drip piping not blocked? Loose debris removed?

Unpressurized stream of water used to wash baffles in the CAD tower?

Coil and fans cleaned as necessary?

All surfaces clean and dry, reassembled in reverse order?

CLEANING CENTER AIR DISCHARGE (CAD) TOWER

The interior of the CAD tower must be cleaned at least monthly. Frequency is dependent on the ambient conditions of the store.

DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE MERCHANDISER

Apply compressed air to the moiré (pattern of slots) of the CAD to blow accumulated dust off the internal baffles

Use a soft cloth to wipe down the interior. A mild detergent and sanitizing solution may be used. Do not introduce excess water

Once operating temperature is reached, return product from cooler

If air cleaning is not done at least monthly, Hussmann recommends washing by a technician at least every 4 months

WARNING: ALWAYS SHUT POWER OFF DURING CLEANING PROCESS.

All deck pans and air grilles removed

CAUTION: Coil fins are sharp and pose risk of bodily injury - use extreme care when cleaning around them.

Exterior surfaces cleaned with a mild detergent and warm water

Interior surfaces cleaned with domestic detergents and sanitizing solutions

WARNING: Do NOT allow product to sit in a non-refrigerated area.

Product and all loose debris removed

Warning: Always disconnect the electrical power at the main disconnect when servicing or replacing any electrical component.

Drill with a 17/8-in. (48 mm) hole saw to drill out the bottom of the drain fitting. Did you drill completely through fitting and bottom liner?

Apply teflon tape to threaded end of adapter and screw into threaded end of tee. Was this done correctly?

Apply an ABS and PVC compatible primer and sealer to adapter and inside of drain. Insert adapter into drain fitting. Was this done correctly?

Sign off on the drain fitting replacement

Power to the merchandiser disconnected

Side splashguard and base panels removed

Ballast replaced and parts reassembled in reverse order

Sign off on the ballast replacement
