1 Yearly Stationary Air Compressor Maintenance
Warning: Always release all pressure, disconnect from power supply, and allow unit to cool to the touch before cleaning or making repairs on the air compressor.
Warning: Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.
Warning: When servicing, use only identical Husky replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage.
Inspect the tank annually for rust, pin holes, or other imperfections that could cause it to become unsafe.
Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
Condensate forms in the tank when there is humidity in the air. Depending on the environmental conditions, drain the condensate daily and/or every hour.
The safety valve automatically releases air when the receiver pressure exceeds the preset maximum.
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Notes on the condition of the air compressor
Air Filter Cleaning
Turn the air compressor OFF (0)
Unplug the air compressor
Allow unit to cool
Unsnap the air filter cover to remove (1)
Check the filter element (2). If it is dirty, blow compressed air through the filter element for 10-15 seconds or replace if needed. If the filter element is filled with paint, replace it
Place cleaned element into housing and reattach the air filter cover (1)
Sign off on the air filter cleaning
Air Lines And Fittings Inspection
NOTICE: Even minor leaks can cause the air compressor to overwork, resulting in premature breakdown or inadequate performance.
Turn the air compressor on and allow tank pressure to build. Motor will stop when tank pressure reaches “cut-out” pressure.
Turn the air compressor Off and unplug unit.
Apply a soap solution to all air-line fittings and connections/piping to look for any leaks.
Pull ring on safety valve allowing air to bleed from the tank until tank pressure is approximately 20 PSI. Release safety valve ring.
Drain water from air tank by opening drain valve on bottom of tank.
Correct any leaks found.

Belt Replacement
WARNING: Serious injury or damage may occur if parts of the body or loose items get caught in moving parts. Never operate the outfit with the belt guard removed. The belt guard should be removed only when the air compressor power is disconnected.
Turn the air compressor off, lock out the power supply, and relieve all air pressure from the air tank.
Remove the fasteners from the belt guard. The front belt guard can now be lifted up and away from the unit.
Mark the motor position on the saddle.
Loosen the motor mounting screws and slide the motor toward the air compressor pump.
Remove the belt and replace with a new one.

NOTICE: Once the engine pulley has been moved from its factory set location, the grooves of the flywheel and pulley must be aligned to within 1/16 in. (1.6 mm) to prevent excessive belt wear. Verify the alignment by performing the MOTOR PULLY/FLYWEEL ALIGNMENT on the following page.
Slide the motor into the original position, and line the motor up with the mark made earlier on the saddle.
Tighten the two outside motor mounting screws enough to hold the motor in place for checking the pulley and flywheel alignment.
The belt should deflect 1/4 in. (6.5 mm) at midway between the pulley and the flywheel when a ten-pound (4.5 kg.) weight is applied at the midway point.
When proper belt tension is achieved, tighten all motor mounting screws. Torque to 20-25 ft-lbs (27.1–33.9 Nm).
