Two retaining screws loosened and Communications Module assembly removed from the electronics housing?

Barrier Diaphragms Inspection and Cleaning

Close all valves to isolate the Transmitter from the process

Check mark

Open the vent in the process head to drain fluid from the Transmitter meter body, as necessary

Check mark

Remove the Transmitter from the process

Check mark

Loosen the nuts in the sequence

Check mark

Remove the nuts from the bolts that hold the process head(s) to the meter body

Check mark

Remove the process heads and bolts

Check mark

Remove the gasket/ O-ring, and clean the interior of the process head using a soft bristle brush and an approved solvent

Check mark

Inspect the barrier diaphragm for signs of deterioration, corrosion, and distortion

Check mark

If the diaphragm is distorted, did you contact Honeywell for assistance?

Transmitter Calibration

Select the mode of operation

Check mark

If operating in Analog mode, use Honeywell Smart Field Communicator (SFC) for calibration.

Check mark

If operating in HART/DE mode, refer to ST 700 Series HART/DE Option User’s Manual.

Upload a photo of the calibrated transmitter

Sign off on the transmitter calibration

Communication Mode Replacement

Turn OFF Transmitter power

Check mark

Loosen the end cap lock, and unscrew the end cap from the electronics side of the Transmitter housing

Check mark

If equipped with a Display module, carefully depress the two tabs on the sides of the Display Module, and pull it off

Check mark

If necessary, unplug the interface connector from the Communication module. Do not discard the connector

Check mark

Loosen the two retaining screws, and carefully pull the Communication module from the Electronics compartment

Check mark

Carefully align and connect the Sensor Ribbon Cable to the connector “J4” at the bottom of the Communication module

Check mark

Carefully, insert the Communication module into the Electronics compartment. Ensure that the Sensor Ribbon Cable is not pinched

Check mark

Tighten the two Communication module retaining screws

Check mark

Refer to the SmartLine User's Manual to change the FAILSAFE, READ/WRITE, and SIM- OFF/SIM-ON (Fieldbus Only) configuration settings
