Shop rags positioned to catch any oil run off

Hex bolts removed to take off gearbox cover

Oil in gearbox absorbed and removed with shop rags

Gears and inside of box cleaned with mineral spirits and let to dry

Vent plug removed and gearbox filled with oil until visible in vent plug hole

Vent plug threads cleaned and wrapped in thread-sealing tape before replacing

Sign off on the gearbox oil replacement

Warning: Ensure the machine is turned off and unplugged before cleaning

Machine turned off and unplugged?

Upload a photo of the machine before cleaning

Brush and vacuum used to remove chips and debris?

Non-painted surfaces rust-free with rust preventative?

All metal chips or built-up grease cleaned from wheel surfaces and blade housing?

Upload a photo of the machine after cleaning

Sign off on the bandsaw cleaning

Machine disconnected from power?

Using vise handwheel, move vise as far forward as possible

Vise moved as far forward as possible?

Use mineral spirits and a brush to clean existing lubricant and debris off of vise leadscrew. Allow leadscrew to dry

Apply thin coat of dry coating lube to exposed leadscrew threads, then move vise through its full range of motion several times to disperse lube along full length of leadscrew

Lube applied and dispersed along full length of leadscrew?

Sign off on the vise leadscrew lubrication

Is the fluid level of the gearbox checked?

Use an 8mm wrench to remove the vent plug to check fluid level

Is oil visible when plug is removed?

If oil is not visible when plug is removed, slowly add just enough oil so you can see oil level

Clean vent plug threads, then wrap them with thread-sealing tape before replacing

Sign off on the gearbox lubrication check
