Ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged before inspection.

Is the unit free from exposure to liquid insecticides or hairsprays?

Clean the unit’s body without using water hotter than 40 °C, harsh abrasive cleansers, or volatile agents like benzene or thinner.

Inspection of Internal Components

Check for dirt accumulation in the following parts

If the unit will not be used for a month or more, was it operated in fan mode for half a day to dry the inner parts?

Stop the unit and disconnect the power supply

Turn off the electrical breaker

Push the intake grille pushbuttons (two places)

Hold down the hook at A and pull the filter out

Reinstall the filter ensuring hooks at A and B engage correctly
