Ensure spacer washer (43) is not lost

Disassemble items from register

Withdraw gear and shaft (27), bearing and seal assembly (36), and O-ring (35)

Bearing and Seal Assembly Replacement

Slide new O-ring (35) over bearing and seal (36)

Insert gear and shaft (27) through housing (33) and O-ring seal assembly (35 and 36)

Press seal and shaft together to seat bearing and seal into square cavity in housing

Ensure appropriate container is ready to catch product when removing any cover

Remove cover plate (1) and square ring (2)

Remove key (3) and withdraw rotor and vanes from pump block (12)

Ensure washer (6) and spring (7) remain on pump shaft

Ensure the pump is adjusted for accurate measure for gasoline within + .05 gallons at the factory

Has the device been reported to local Weights and Measures officials for inspection?

Choose the flow rate for zero calibration point (e.g., middle or top notch position)

Use a certified five-gallon measure with sight glass and scale

Fill and drain the test measure to wet interior surfaces completely

Separate and clean top and bottom half of the measuring chamber (5)

Ensure baffle is seated in grooves in top and bottom halves and through slot in measuring disc (7)

Did you avoid dropping or sharply striking chamber parts while handling?

Rotate disc to ensure it turns freely before replacing in meter body

Torque screws (4) to 20-25 ft-lbs

Use a new O-ring (3) when reassembling register to meter body

Ensure means are available to catch liquid draining from the meter housing and lines.

Remove housing from meter body by taking out four screws.

Slide new O-ring over new bearing seal.

Insert shaft (14) through spacer (15) and bearing (16).

Press assembled shaft and seal through housing and seat the square of the bearing into the recess in the register housing (18).
