Stand clear of the discharge port

Enter the system operating pressure

Enter the relief valve set pressure

Is the system operating pressure at 75% of the relief valve set pressure?

Manually open the valve with the hand lever and check for proper operation

Is the 'CHANGE AIR FILTER' message displayed?

Check for genuine Gardner Denver air filter elements

Filter Element Removal and Inspection

Remove the wingnut and pull out the filter element

Does the filter element require cleaning?

Soak the element in warm water with mild nonsudsing detergent for 15 minutes

Rinse the element thoroughly with clean water (max 40 psig/2.8 Bars)

Select the method used to drain the oil system

Was the oil drained when hot to prevent varnish deposits?

Contamination Check and System Flushing

Is the drained oil and/or oil filter element contaminated with dirt?

Flush the entire system if contamination is present

Inspect the oil separator elements for dirt accumulation and replace if necessary

Contact factory for varnish deposit removal recommendations if necessary

Ensure the unit is completely off and no air pressure is in the oil reservoir.

Disconnect, tag, and lockout power supply to the starter.

Remove screws holding the top plate to the separator housing.

Lift the top plate from the separator housing.

Lift the separator from the separator housing.

Separator Inspection and Preparation

Inspect the separator and replace if necessary.

Enter the current reservoir oil level

Add oil if required (DO NOT MIX LUBRICANTS)

Observe if the unit loads and unloads properly

Enter the discharge temperature

Check Panel LED’s for advisories
