Examine for physical damage or loss of electrolyte

Report actual or suspected damage to the carrier

Give the battery an equalizing charge

Check electrolyte levels immediately after charge

Specify the electrolyte height after adding water

Ensure no oil, organic solvent, alcohol, detergent, strong acids, strong alkalis, petroleum-based solvent or ammonia solution is used for cleaning.

Check the battery for cleanliness.

Ensure vent plugs are in place before cleaning.

Was electrolyte or acid neutralized during cleaning?

Ensure no electrolyte is visible on top of the battery after cleaning.
