Adding Oil to the Pump
Always add oil with cylinders fully retracted (extended if pull cylinders) or the system will contain more oil than the reservoir can hold.
Remove oil fill plug from reservoir.
Determine if your pump has a vented or non-vented reservoir.
Add oil to the reservoir as required.
Reinstall oil fill plug after adding oil.
Remove air from system.
Recheck oil level after removing air.
Keeping Oil Lines Clean
When coupler halves are disconnected, always install dust caps.
1 Year Hydraulic Reservoir Maintenance
Warning: Only trained personnel should perform this procedure
Oil level checked regularly
Enter the current oil level
Oil drained and refilled with Simplex hydraulic oil
Type of oil used
Warning: Use of any other fluid could damage the seals or equipment and will make the product warranty null and void
Oil level not exceeded the maximum recommended by the manufacturer
Is the pump non-vented?
If the pump is non-vented, it should never be completely filled. If the reservoir is completely filled, a vacuum will form, preventing proper operation of the pump.
