Place a container under the engine for collecting drained oil

Open the drain plug and drain the engine oil

Use the genuine engine oil approved / recommended by the manufacturer

Close the oil refill cap and install the oil level gauge

Operate the mast through a lift cycle

Watch the chains move over the crosshead rollers

Ensure the chain is tracking over the rollers properly

Inspect for damaged crosshead rollers, guards, and retainer rings

Check the current oil level using the dipstick

Replenish engine oil with genuine oil approved by the manufacturer

Close the oil refill cap on the engine top

Ensure carriage height is correct

Refer to 'Carriage Roller Extrusion' in 'When Required' for proper height of carriage

Release tension from lift chains by either

Loosen nut and adjust nut to get proper distance from bottom of inner upright to the bottom of carriage bearing

Adjust anchor nut for equal chain tension

Set the mast vertical and raise the carriage

NOTE! The fuel filter element must be replaced on a regular basis to prevent foreign materials from entering the diesel fuel system

Disconnect wire harness connector and disconnect the fuel hose connected to the fuel pre filter port

Remove the fuel filter carefully to prevent fuel from flowing out

Install a new fuel filter and assemble the fuel filter cap

Connect the wire harness connector and fuel hose connector
