1. Every application may require a different frequency of replacement of dirty filters

2. Filters must be replaced at least every three (3) months during operating seasons

3. Dirty filters are the most common cause of inadequate heating or cooling performance

4. Dirty throwaway filters should be discarded and replaced with a new, clean filter

5. Disposable return air filters are supplied with this unit. See the unit Specification Sheet or Technical Manual for the correct size and part number

1. The supply fan motors, the condenser fan motors and compressors are permanently lubricated

1. Use a fine grade automotive wax on the cabinet finish to maintain the finish’s original high luster. This is especially important in installations with extended periods of direct sunlight

MicroChannel Heat Exchangers (MCHE) Maintenance

NOTE! During periods when the MCHE is not operated for longer than a week, the MCHE must be completely cleaned following the cleaning procedure. This practice must also be performed during short shut-down periods where corrosive deposits accumulate on the MCHE.

STEP 2: Rinse! Rinse the coil by following procedure

WARNING! Field applied coatings are not recommended for brazed aluminum MicroChannel heat exchangers. MicroChannel heat exchangers must NOT be coated using any other coating, Coating of a coil using a supplier or coating process is not approved and is not covered by the warranty. It may also reduce the lifetime and/or the performance of the MicroChannel heat exchanger.

Filter inspection should be made at least every two months; more often if necessary because of local conditions and usage.

NOTE! Preventive maintenance is the best way to avoid unnecessary expense and inconvenience. Have this system inspected at regular intervals by qualified service personnel, at least twice a year.

Tighten, set screws, and wire connections

Clean evaporator mechanically or with cold water, if necessary. Usually any fouling is only matted on the entering air face of the coil and can be removed by brushing

Check for blockage of condensate drain

Check power and control voltages
