Check mark

Preparation: Multimeter (Analog system recommended, Digital system with diode check function is usable)

Check mark

Multimeter prepared?

Check mark

Point of Measurement and Judgment Criteria: Measure the resistance value using a tester at each point of measurement below, 10 minutes later after power OFF.

Check mark

If using analog multimeter: Measurement in the resistance value mode in the range of multiplying 1 kΩ.

Check mark

If using digital multimeter: Measurement is executed in the diode check mode.

Check mark

Enter the resistance value measured

Check mark

Is the resistance value within the acceptable range?

Run this procedureArrow right

Broken Wire Check

Check mark

Warning: Ensure the power supply to all equipment is turned OFF before starting the procedure.

Check mark

Power supply to all equipment turned OFF?

Check mark

Short circuit between the indoor-outdoor unit terminal F1 and F2 in the outdoor unit.

Check mark

Short circuit between F1 and F2 successful?

Check mark

Continuity checks between the transmission wirings F1 and F2 of the indoor unit a that is farthest from the outdoor unit using a multimeter.

Check mark

Is there continuity between the said transmission wirings?

Check mark

If there is no continuity, the transmission wiring may have broken wires.

Check mark

With the indoor-outdoor unit terminal of the outdoor unit short circuited, identify the place with continuity in the transmission wiring of the indoor unit b, transmission wiring of the indoor unit c, and transmission wiring of the indoor unit d in the order described.

Check mark
