Carrier Ceiling-Suspended Fan Coil Unit 38HDR-3-030

Place a plastic sheet on the floor to catch any water that may spill from drain pan.

Remove the intake grille and distribution assembly.

Remove the condensate water in the drain pan by letting water drain into a 3-gallon bucket.

Ensure no damage is done to the drain pan during removal.

Remove the 4 screws holding the drain pan.

Turn off power to the system using the remote thermostat

Turn off the outdoor disconnect switch

Turn off the indoor unit disconnect switch (if applicable)

Wash the air filters in warm water (not over 120 F)

Remove any dirt or obstruction from discharge opening.

Use a garden hose to spray water on the coil.

Describe any debris removed from between coil fins.

Condensate Drainage System Check

Remove grille and frame from the unit

Insert a water bottle into the fan coil unit and fill drain pan

Is water flowing steadily from the drain pan?

If water is not flowing steadily, describe the issue (e.g., pipe slope or restrictions)

Ensure all wiring connections are correct and tight

Check that all barriers, covers, and panels are in place

Ensure filters and return-air grilles are installed and discharge louvers are positioned correctly
