Hot Water Dispencer Temperature Control Test
Warning: Disconnect the dispenser from the power source before starting the test
Voltage across terminals 3 & 4 of the electronic control circuit board within the correct range
Voltage across the tank heater terminals within the correct range
Was voltage present as described in the first test?
If voltage was not present as described, contact Bunn-O-Matic to order an electronic control board and temperature sensor for evaluation and proceed to next step
Replace the electronic control board
Voltage across the tank heater terminals within the correct range after replacing the electronic control board
Was voltage present as described in the second test?
If voltage was present as described, the temperature control of the system is operating properly. Return the new electronic control board or temperature sensor to Bunn-O-Matic for credit
Hot Water Dispenser Thermostat Replacement
Warning: Ensure the dispenser is unplugged before starting the procedure
Both wires removed from the thermostat terminals
Top lid removed from the dispenser
Thermostat bulb removed
Two #6-32 screws removed from the thermostat
New thermostat fastened to the mounting bracket
Ensure that the capillary tube is away from any electrical termination and is not kinked
Grommet slid to the red mark on the capillary tube
Bulb inserted through the hole in the tank and grommet pressed firmly
Hot Water Dispenser Safety Overflow Switch Maintenance
Warning: Ensure the power source is turned off before starting the procedure
Voltage verified at the power source
Continuity present across the safety overflow switch red wires when the plastic float is raised
Continuity returns when the plastic float is lowered
If continuity is not present as described, proceed to replace the safety overflow switch
Black wires disconnected from the safety overflow switch
Nut beneath the copper overflow cup removed
Entire switch assembly removed from the cup
New switch assembly placed into the cup, wires first
Hot Water Dispencer Liquid Level Control Test
Disconnect the dispenser from the power source
Voltage across terminals 3 & 4 of the electronic control board
Check the dispenser wiring harness if voltage was not present as described
Remove the pink wire from terminal 5 of the electronic control assembly
Voltage across terminals 1 & 4 of the electronic control board after connecting the dispenser to the power source
Disconnect the dispenser from the power source
Reconnect the pink wire to terminal 5 of the electronic control assembly
Loosen the compression fitting, remove the probe from the tank lid, and inspect it for mineral deposits. Replace it if necessary. Keep the exposed ends of the probe away from any metal surface of the dispenser
Voltage across terminals 1 & 4 of the electronic control assembly after connecting the dispenser to the power source
Hot Water Dispenser Limit Thermostat Replacement
Both wires removed from the limit thermostat terminals
Two #10-32 nuts removed attaching the limit thermostat to the top of the tank
New limit thermostat installed and secured into place with two #10-32 nuts
Wires reconnected according to schematic wiring diagrams
Sign off on the thermostat replacement
