Hot Water Dispenser Dispense Valve Maintenance
Check the valve for coil action
Describe the sound heard from the dispense valve
Is there a blockage in the valve?
Enter the voltmeter reading in DC volts
Is the voltage present as described?
Is the dispenser wiring harness in good condition?
Is the control board operating properly?
Replace the Dispense Valve (PC & H3 Element Only)
Is the dispenser disconnected from the power source and allowed to cool?
Hot Water Dispenser Thermostat Test
Disconnect the dispenser from the power source
Voltage across the black wire on the thermostat and the white or red wire at the terminal block
Voltage indication
Voltage present as described
If voltage is not present as described, refer to the Wiring Schematics and check the dispenser wiring harness
Voltage across the blue/black wire on the thermostat and the white or red wire at the terminal block when the thermostat is turned ON
Voltage present as described when thermostat is ON
Voltage not indicated when the thermostat is turned OFF
If voltage is not present as described, replace the thermostat
Hot Water Dispenser Thermostat Replacement
Warning: Ensure the dispenser is unplugged before starting the procedure
Both wires removed from the thermostat terminals
Top lid removed from the dispenser
Thermostat bulb removed
Two #6-32 screws removed from the thermostat
New thermostat fastened to the mounting bracket
NOTE: Make sure that the capillary tube is away from any electrical termination and is not kinked
Grommet slid to the red mark on the capillary tube
Bulb inserted through the hole in the tank and grommet pressed firmly
Hot Water Dispenser Steam Sensor Test
Warning: Disconnect the dispenser from the power source before starting the test
Thermistor disconnected from J5 on control board
Resistance across thermistor (Ohm)
Was the resistance as described?
If resistance was not as described, replace the control board
Sign off on the steam sensor test
Hot Water Dispenser Liquid Level Board Replacement
Remove all wires from the level control board
Remove two #8-32 screws holding level control board and mounting bracket to the component bracket
Install the new level control board and mounting bracket to the component bracket
Upload a photo of the reconnected wires
Sign off on the board replacement
