Brewer Solenoid Valve Replacement
All wires removed from solenoid valves
Water supply to the brewer turned off
Water lines to and from the solenoid valves disconnected
Two #8-32 keps nuts holding the mounting bracket to the brewer base removed
Bracket lifted out
Two #10-32 slotted-head screws holding the solenoid valve to the mounting bracket removed
New solenoid valve securely installed to the mounting bracket
Mounting bracket attached to the brewer base
Water lines to and from the solenoid valves securely fastened
Brewer Dilution Solenoid Valve Test
Disconnect the brewer from the power source
Voltage across the white/blue and white/violet wires on the dilution solenoid terminals
Voltage is present as described
Check the wiring harness if voltage is not present
Remove both wires from the coil and check for continuity across the coil terminals
Continuity is present as described
Replace the solenoid valve if continuity is not present
Check the solenoid valve for coil action
Listen for a 'clicking' sound as the coil magnet attracts and repels the plunger
Brewer Dilution Solenoid Valve Replacement
Remove all wires from the solenoid valves
Turn off the water supply to the brewer
Disconnect the water lines to and from the solenoid valves
Remove the two 8-32 keps nuts holding the mounting bracket to the trunk base
Lift out the bracket
Remove the two 10-32 slotted-head screws holding the solenoid valve to the mounting bracket
Securely install the new solenoid valve to the mounting bracket
Attach the mounting bracket to the trunk base
Securely fasten the water lines to and from the solenoid valves
1 Daily Brewer Cleaning
CAUTION - DO NOT KEEP BREWED ICED TEA OVERNIGHT. THE SERVER MUST BE CLEANED DAILY
Remove and thoroughly clean the entire brew funnel. The funnel tip and screen must be free from any tea particles or residue. Reassemble the funnel
Place the ON/OFF switch in the 'OFF' position. Remove and thoroughly rinse the sprayhead. The holes must be open and clear of any mineral deposits. Wipe the sprayhead panel clean with a damp cloth
Insert the deliming spring into the sprayhead fitting until no more than two inches is visible and move it in and out 5 or 6 times. Insert the spring into the airvent hole in the sprayhead panel and move it in and out 5 or 6 times. Reattach the sprayhead
Wash the entire outside surface of the brewer with a clean damp cloth
Sign off on the daily brewer cleaning
Brewer Sweetener Solenoid Valve Replacement
Remove all wires from the solenoid valves
Turn off the sweetener supply to the brewer
Disconnect the water lines to and from the solenoid valves
Remove the two #8-32 keps nuts holding the mounting bracket to the trunk base
Lift out the bracket
Remove the two #10-32 slotted-head screws holding the solenoid valve to the mounting bracket
Securely install the new solenoid valve to the mounting bracket
Attach the mounting bracket to the trunk base
Securely fasten the sweetener and water lines to and from the solenoid valves
