Bell & Gossett Pump 90-35S

Ensure the following precautions are taken

Disconnect and lock out the electrical supply

Remove the conduit box cover and disconnect the conduit and wiring

Close the suction and discharge isolation valves (drain the system if none are installed)

Open the drain valve and wait until liquid stops flowing before proceeding

Leave the drain valve open until reassembly is complete, disconnect auxiliary piping, and loosen (without removing) the volute capscrews

Shift the pump slightly to release pressurized water, then remove the volute capscrews and lift the pump assembly from the volute

Store the pump in a covered, dry location.

Keep the unit free of heat, dirt, and vibration.

Turn the shaft by hand several times.

Repeat shaft rotation every three months while in storage.

Flush and clear the piping system of dirt or debris before startup.

Bring variable-speed drivers up to rated speed as quickly as possible.

If the pumped fluid will exceed 200°F (93°C), has the pump been warmed up by circulating a small amount of fluid until the casing temperature is within about 100°F (38°C) of the fluid temperature?

Is the area clear and was the driver briefly jogged to verify the direction of rotation matches the arrow on the pump body?

Lock out power to the driver again once rotation is confirmed.
