Turn off the power to the printer before cleaning or replacing the print head.

Wear an anti-static wrist strap and ensure it makes direct skin contact.

Fasten the clip end of the anti-static wrist strap to a metal portion of the printer.

Wear anti-static gloves when handling a print head.

Clean print heads after continuous usage

Keep print heads in their original anti-static bags until ready to install.

Slide the stacker on the mounting pins to adjust its position for the label width.

Ensure the back wall of the stacker is just behind the back end of the label.

Lock the stacker in position using the thumbscrew on the stacker mount bracket.

If the stacker angle was adjusted, did you readjust the stacker position?

Select the appropriate sensor based on label size.

Depress the top portion of the toggle switch for the upper sensor.

Depress the bottom portion of the toggle switch for the lower sensor.

Rubber Roller Replacement Overview

Record the total inches of stock run through the machine since last replacement

Has it been 6 months since the last replacement?

Replace the following rubber rollers

Check print quality after replacement

Verify tracking and feed functionality

Turn off the power to the printer

Remove the stock and ink from the printer

Review the Print Head Handling Procedure Sheet

Fasten the anti-static wrist strap to a metal portion of the printer

Note the printhead resistance value

Ensure both knobs on the print head have about the same spacing from the head mount bracket.

Turn the pressure adjustment knob to increase or decrease print head pressure.

Is the pressure knob assembly properly replaced into the threaded hole?

Rotate the contrast knob clockwise to increase print density.

Rotate the contrast knob counterclockwise to decrease print density.

Is the contrast knob set to the nominal center position?
