Atlas Copco Oil-Water Separator OSC 170

Open the test valve and empty the cartridge into a bucket

Remove the screws of the cartridge and pull it away from the housing

Remove the ball valve at test outlet and place it to the new cartridge

Remove the plugs from the new cartridge and place them to used one

Place the cartridge near housing close to housing almost at installation location but enough gap to fill the new cartridge with clean water

Push the cartridge into the housing and secure it with screws

Pour back the drained condensate in the first step into the housing

Fill the housing with clean water till water starts flowing out of condensate outlet

Inspect for leaks at the connection between housing and cartridge

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Is the service indicator approaching the lid of the housing?

Is the condensate from the test outlet less transparent than in the reference test capsule?

If either of the above checks fail, proceed with the replacement. Otherwise, report the status and stop the procedure.

Compressor stopped and air outlet valve closed?

Outlet piping depressurized by opening the manual condensate drain?

Upload a photo of the oleophilic filter before removal

Lid of the housing removed and oleophilic filter taken out?

If compressor is not operational, report the issues to the maintenance team and stop the procedure

Collect the condensate in the test capsule

Turbidity of the sample compared to the 10 ppm reference?

Sign off on the condensate check
