Hydraulic Compactor Cleaning

Warning: Environmental damage due to polluted water. Hydraulic oil and cutter grease are environmentally harmful and must not penetrate the ground or enter the water table or water supplies.

Collect the water used for cleaning if it has been contaminated by hydraulic oil and cutter grease.

Dispose of the water in accordance with the applicable regulations to avoid environmental hazards.

Hydraulic compactor attached?

If hydraulic compactor is attached, deposit the hydraulic compactor on level ground and secure the carrier such that it cannot move unexpectedly.

If hydraulic compactor is not attached, plug up all hydraulic ports.

Use a pressure cleaner to remove dirt from the hydraulic compactor.

Sign off on the hydraulic compactor cleaning

Replace bent and damaged pipes

Replace damaged hoses

Check the adapter plate bolts for wear;

Run this procedure

1 Daily Hydraulic Compactor Service

Check that the pipe clamps on the carrier are tight

Check the rubber isolators for cracks

Tighten the screw connections every day

NOTE! Replace the oil filter cartridges after the first 50 operating hours

NOTE! Check the oil filter and replace as required every 500 Hours

Sign off on the daily hydraulic compactor service

Timber support blocks placed on an oil pan?

Hydraulic compactor positioned on timber support blocks?

NOTICE! Environmental damage due to consumables. Motor oil is environmentally harmful and must not penetrate the ground or enter water table or water supplies.

All dumped waste oil collected?

Containers filled with motor oil secured to prevent toppling over?

Air breather valve (A) and drain plug with seal (B) removed from rotor housing?

Rotor housing tipped and rested on its side to drain oil?

Rotor housing restored to its upright position?

1 Weekly Adapter Plate Check

Check the adapter plate for cracks

Check the outer and rotor housings for cracks

If any cracks are found, have rework activities or repairs carried out in time to avoid major damage
