Turn the unit on and allow it to warm up for 30 minutes

Press and release the TIME 1 button if it is not lit

Ensure the TIME 1 button is now lit

Press and release the Start/Stop button and start the stopwatch

Record the time when the Bacon Indicator Light begins to flash

Turn the power off and unplug the power cord.

Allow the unit to cool down before performing any service or maintenance.

Ensure chemical cleaner is safe for cast aluminum if used.

Turn the unit off, unplug the power cord, and allow the unit to cool down before proceeding.

Scrape the Platen surface clean of any residue.

Inspect the Egg Rings for damage

Flip the Egg Rings 180° if required

Ensure Egg Rings move freely up and down within the Egg Rack

Reshape Egg Ring to its normal form if it does not move freely

Remove the cover and the Egg Rack

Turn the power on and allow 30 minutes for the unit to warm up

Measure the temperature at the middle of the Platen surface

Is the temperature within the range of 250°F–300°F (121°C–149°C)?

Call your Authorized Service Agency if temperature is out of range

Reinstall cover and Egg Rack and Top Cover
