Wear safety glasses and gloves.

Inspect water inlet valve hose connections for leaks.

Inspect steam hose connections for leaks (where applicable).

Verify insulation on all external wires and secure connections.

Remove ordinary deposits of dirt and grease with detergent and water.

Thoroughly rinse and dry the metal after washing.

Periodically clean to maintain bright surface appearance and prevent corrosion.

Avoid contact with dissimilar metals to prevent galvanic corrosion.

Ensure salty or acidic solutions do not evaporate and dry on stainless steel.

Wipe clean any acidic solution residues from the stainless steel.

Disconnect power to the machine before maintenance

Tighten door hinges and fasteners, if necessary

Tighten anchor bolts, if necessary

Verify that the drain motor shield is in place and secure

Disconnect power to the machine at its source before performing maintenance

Check V belt(s) for uneven wear and frayed edges

For groove-pulley drive systems, is the alignment correct using a straightedge?

Measure allowable distance of belt from edge of pulley for flat-pulley drive systems

Ensure no guards or parts are missing or broken

Verify no safety devices are bypassed
