Commissioning Records Verification

Verify the following against commissioning records

Ensure chilled water pump and flow switch operate efficiently

Verify interlocks function correctly

Check operation of waterflow switch and pump interlock

Ensure all work is carried out by technically trained competent personnel

Isolate equipment to ensure no live electrical or moving parts are active

Evaporator and Thermostat Check

Check evaporator trace heating activation temperature

Is the low ambient thermostat set to activate at 4.0°C?

Ensure all electrical and moving parts are isolated before starting maintenance.

Check glycol concentration if appropriate.

Leak test all R407C joints and inspect all water connections.

Check superheats with chiller running on full load (the height of summer is recommended).

Recheck the charge following major adjustment of the superheats.

Inspect the unit for general wear and tear, treat metalwork.

Inspect pipe and pipework insulation.

Clean evaporator water strainer.

Clean condenser coils using detergent and stiff bristled brush. Avoid steam cleaning.
