1 Daily High Performance Vector Control Drive Inspection

1. Motor

Inspect for abnormal oscillation or noise coming from the motor.

Corrective Action:

• Check the load coupling.

• Measure motor vibration.

• Tighten all loose components.

2. Cooling

Inspect for abnormal heat generated from the drive or motor and visible discoloration.

10 Yearly Cooling Fan Replacement

◆ Cooling Fan Replacement: 4A0515 and 4A0675

These models allow access to the fans from the front of the drive for fan replacement.

WARNING! Electrical Shock Hazard.

Do not connect or disconnect wiring while the power is on.

Failure to comply can result in serious personal injury.

Before servicing the drive, disconnect all power to the equipment.

The internal capacitor remains charged even after the power supply is turned off.

After shutting off the power, wait for at least the amount of time specified on the drive before touching any components.

10 Yearly Electrolytic Capacitors Replacement

Only use Yaskawa replacement parts for the appropriate drive model and revision.

NOTICE: Estimated performance life based on specific usage conditions.

These conditions are provided for the purpose of replacing parts to maintain performance.

Some parts may require more frequent replacement due to poor environments or rigorous use.

Usage conditions for estimated performance life:

Ambient temperature: Yearly average of 40 °C (IP20/IP00 enclosure)

Yearly average of 30 °C (side-by-side mounting/NEMA 1, UL type 1 enclosure drive or external heatsink installation);

1 Yearly High Performance Vector Control Drive Inspection

WARNING! Electrical Shock Hazard.

Do not inspect, connect, or disconnect any wiring while the power is on.

Failure to comply can result in serious personal injury.

Before servicing, disconnect all power to the equipment.

The internal capacitor remains charged even after the power supply is turned off.

The charge indicator LED will extinguish when the DC bus voltage is below 50 Vdc.

To prevent electric shock, wait for at least the time specified on the warning label; after all indicators are OFF, measure for unsafe voltages to confirm the drive is safe prior to servicing.
