Match part numbers on the inner race to the outer race and press the bearing race onto the gate rotor support

Install the outer bearing into the bearing housing ensuring numbers match the inner race

Install the snap ring retainer in the housing with the bevel facing away from the roller bearing

Remove the coupling guard and center member from the coupling.

Attach a dial indicator to the compressor frame and zero the indicator.

Measure the movement by pushing the coupling towards the motor.

Re-zero the indicator and measure the movement by pushing the input shaft towards the compressor.

Add both readings to determine the total bearing float.
