Compare the readings with the values provided in the general maintenance

Check the oil level in the chiller oil sump using the two sight glasses provided in the oil sump head. When the unit is operating, the oil level should be visible in the lower sight glass

Sign off on the daily chiller maintenance

- Shut down the chiller once each year to check the items for Leak Test Chiller

1. Check purge times and unit performance logs. If warranted, pressure leak test

2. Review oil analysis. If required, submit refrigerant sample for analysis

3. Inspect unit for any signs of refrigerant or oil leakage

4. Check unit for any loose screws on flange, volutes, or casing

Failure to follow safe leak test procedures below could result in death or serious injury or equipment or property-only-damage

Never use an open flame to detect gas leaks. Use a leak test solution for leak testing

Lubricate the gantries annually

Select the lubricant used for gantries

Select the lubricant used for hinges

Sign off on the lubrication process

Contact a qualified service organization to determine when to conduct a complete examination of the unit to discern the condition of the compressor and internal components

Check for evaporator water tube leaks

Check for condenser water tube leaks

Sign off on the yearly chiller maintenance

For R-123 chillers, perform the annual maintenance procedures referred to in Operation and Maintenance Guide: EarthWise Purge System with Tracer AdaptiView Control for Water-Cooled CenTraVac Chillers with R-123 Refrigerant (PRGF- SVX01*-EN). For R-514A chillers, perform the annual maintenance procedures referred to in Operation and Maintenance Guide: Purge System with Tracer AdaptiView Control for Water-Cooled CenTraVac Chillers with R-514A Refrigerant (PRGG-SVX001*-EN)

Evaporator refrigerant temperature sensor (4R10) reading in ice water bath

Is the sensor reading within the normal operating range (0°F to 90°F [-17.8°C to 32.2°C])?

Are the condenser tubes fouled?

If fouled, clean the condenser tubes

Are the ifm efector® flow detection sensors clean?

If not, clean the sensors using Scotch-Brite® or other non-abrasive material. Do NOT use steel wool, which could cause the probe to rust
