Contact a qualified service organization to determine when to conduct a complete examination of the unit to discern the condition of the compressor and internal components

Check for evaporator water tube leaks

Check for condenser water tube leaks

Sign off on the yearly chiller maintenance

Test appropriate sensors for accuracy

Ensure sensors are properly seated in wells with thermopaste installed

Check evaporator leaving water temperature low temperature cutout setpoint

Condenser high pressure switch check-out

Check adjustment and operation of the inlet guide vane actuator

Sign off on the control circuits inspection

Lubricate the vane control linkage bearings, ball joints, and pivot points

Lubricate vane operator tang O- rings

Lubricate the oil filter shutoff valve O-rings

Sign off on the chiller lubrication

Upload the purge Installation, Operation, and Maintenance manual

Follow maintenance and/or inspection items identified in the manual

Review overall operation of purge

Sign off on the purge unit inspection

Is the evaporator part of a closed circuit?

If the evaporator is part of a closed circuit, it may not accumulate appreciable amounts of scale or sludge.

Normally, cleaning every three years is sufficient.

Has the evaporator been cleaned in the last three years?

However, periodic inspection and cleaning is recommended on open evaporator systems, such as air washers.

Is the evaporator an open system?

Has the evaporator been inspected and cleaned recently?
