Remove the 'starter cover with rewind starter' (2)

Remove the 'cast arm with guard' (3) from the studs

Ensure all components are accounted for

Is the area clean and free of debris?

Describe any issues encountered during removal

Tighten all accessible screws, nuts, and bolts (not adjusting screws)

Check supports/rubber buffers (underneath the machine)

Spark Plug Cleaning and Inspection

Rectify the problems which have caused fouling of the spark plug

Ensure adapter nut is properly tightened

Unscrew 'water connection with screen' (2) and rinse under running water

Is water being fed to the abrasive wheel after cleaning the screen?

Visit your servicing dealer if water is still not being fed to the abrasive wheel

Is the engine running satisfactorily after warming up?

Turn the high speed adjusting screw (H) slightly clockwise (leaner)

Is the machine operated at a high altitude?

Restore the carburetor setting to the standard setting if no longer at high altitude
