Confirm measures are in place to prevent dropping of driven objects and equipment running out of control

Cut the supply pressure and power

Exhaust all compressed air from the system using its residual pressure release function

Confirm measures are in place to prevent lurching of actuators before restarting equipment

Confirm the equipment can operate normally after remounting

Confirm measures are taken to prevent sudden action and protect workers

Verify that the product does not require lubrication in service as it has been lubricated for life by the manufacturer.

Ensure continuous lubrication if started, to prevent loss of original lubricant and potential malfunction.

Select the lubricant to be used

Refer to the lubricant manufacturer's website for compliant brand names and document them here.

Mount actuator to the mechanical valve with two screws (M3x8 with spring washer)

Mount a bracket to the mechanical valve using two screws (M3x6 with spring washer)

Mount a button or selector to the bracket with two screws (M3x8 with spring washer)

Choose the button color for flat button installation

Push the protruding part of the flat button into the body

Remove fastening ring for flat button removal

Ensure inspection is performed regularly, such as at the beginning of operation.

Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the valve. Contact SMC for repair and maintenance.

Check the condition of the following actuator types for wear and stroke changes

Verify actuator stroke is within the specified range in section 7-1.
