Valve Lubrication
Lubrication Caution
Confirm that the product has been lubricated for life by the manufacturer and does not require lubrication in service.
Is lubrication necessary?
Select the type of oil to use if lubrication is necessary.
Ensure continuous lubrication to prevent loss of original lubricant and potential malfunction.
Refer to the lubricant manufacturer's website for brand names of compliant lubricants and note them here.
Valve Inspection
Maintenance Warning
Perform inspection on a regular basis as necessary, such as at the beginning of operation, to make sure that the mechanical valve operates properly.
Do not disassemble, repair and modify the product. This may lead to malfunction of equipment, injury and equipment damage. Please contact SMC for repair and maintenance of the product.
Ensure that the actuator stroke is within the stroke range shown in section 7-1 when the product is serviced.
Check the condition of the roller for wear.
Is the actuator stroke within the specified range?
Contact SMC for repair and maintenance if necessary.

Confirm measures are in place to prevent dropping of driven objects and equipment running out of control
Cut the supply pressure and power
Exhaust all compressed air from the system using its residual pressure release function
Confirm measures are taken to prevent sudden action and protect workers
Draining Procedure
Remove condensate from air filters regularly
Is the condensate in the drain bowl emptied regularly?
Is the drain bowl equipped with an auto drain option?
Actuator Replacement

Mount actuator to the mechanical valve with two screws (M3x8 with spring washer)
Use Phillips head screwdriver for mounting

Mount bracket to the mechanical valve using two screws (M3x6 with spring washer)
Mount button or selector to the bracket with two screws (M3x8 with spring washer)
