Loosen jam nuts (Item 1) using an 11/32 wrench

Adjust setscrews (Item 3) so that the lever (Item 2) barely touches the ball

Did you use a 5/64 Allen wrench to maintain adjustment of the set screw?

Assemble Adjustable Tilting Backrest

Place the support bar (Item 3) into the back plate (Item 4) and secure with thumb screw (Item 5)

Position the backrest using Figure 5 or 6 as reference

Ensure threaded stud is placed through the slot in the support bar with chrome acorn nut (Item 7) visible from the top

Screw the handwheel (Item 2, Figure 1) onto the threaded stud to secure backrest position

Insert stop screw into threaded hole in end of support bar after inserting support bar into back support

Ensure #10-24 x 1⁄4 Round Head Machine Screw (Part Number 2037299) is inserted from the parts bag

Test cleaning agents in an inconspicuous spot for potential damage

Remove dirt and smudges with mild soap and warm water solution

Dry with a soft, lint-free cloth or towel

Use stronger detergent for difficult stains, following manufacturer's instructions

Use a 1:9 solution of bleach and water to disinfect

Loosen the black hand wheel (Item 2, Figure 1)

Move the back rest to the desired vertical position

Loosen the thumb screw (Item 5, Figure 1)

Move the support bar (Item 3) to the desired horizontal position

Tighten the thumb screw securely

Support body weight from the floor

Raise the release ring located under the seat

Allow the seat to rise to the desired position

Release the ring to lock the seat in position

Ensure the stool is clear of any furniture or equipment

Allow the seat to descend under body weight
