Operating environment free of new hazards

Chains free of deformation, damage or twists

Chains clean and correctly lubricated

Load hook free of nicks, gouges, deformation of the throat opening, wear on the saddle or load bearing point, and twisting

All warning signs are in place, in good condition, and can be read easily

Product is not locked or tagged out

Check the cleanness and lubrication of chain

Check the operation of slipping clutch

Check the operation of the motors

Sign off on the chain hoist check

Warning: Use only lubricants recommended by the product’s manufacturer. See the lubricant tables for more information

Do not mix different kinds of greases

Handle lubricants carefully. Prevent leakages to waters, sewers, cellars and other closed places

Keep lubricants away from heat and open fires. Do not smoke

Avoid contact with skin. Protection gloves and safety goggles shall be worn when handling lubricants. Hands shall be washed thoroughly after lubrication

Keep lubricants away from food and drink. Do not inhale any fumes or swallow lubricants

Used lubricant shall be handled as hazardous waste following local legal requirements. Store used lubricant in containers indicated for the purpose and dispose by a licensed company

All slide bearings depressurized for the grease to penetrate

Check hole in brake assembly located

Enter the maximum value indicated on the brake sticker

Brake measurement value within the limit

Is the secondary brake present?

If the secondary brake is present, proceed with the following steps

Check the condition of the fixing of the covers

Check the condition of the rubber pad in the idle end of the chain (inside the chain bag)

Check the condition and readability of the warning etc. stickers

Check the readability of the instructions

Check the validity of the log book

Sign off on the chain hoist inspection
