30 Days Water Analysis
Selection of proper boiler compound and amount of dosage should be based on water analysis.
Select the type of compound used
Enter the amount of compound used per BHP per eight hour shift
Regular Water Analysis should be made at least every 30 days until treatment is properly regulated.
Enter the date of the next water analysis
Compound must be added uniformly preferably with an automatic feeder system or in equal dosages at least every two hours.
Is an automatic feeder system used?
Enter the pH level of the boiler water
Enter the sodium sulfite level in PPM in the boiler water
60 Days Internal Tube Inspection
Warning: This inspection requires trained personnel with PPE!
Water Treatment Program properly regulated
If Water Treatment Program is not properly regulated, report the issues to the maintenance team and stop the procedure
Inspection of plugs on the bottom and top of each Tube Header Section
Internal Drum Inspection by removing the Inspection Plugs on the heads of the Steam Drum
Inspection of Water feed inlet by removing the plug on the inlet fitting to Boiler Drum
Issues found during the inspection
Sign off on the internal tube inspection
90 Days Tanks Inspection
Inspect and clean return tank
Inspect and clean pump strainer as needed
Blowdown tank should be inspected and cleaned as required
Sign off on the tank inspection
1 Daily Boiler Maintenance
Boiler Blowdown
Is the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) below 2,500 PPM (4200 u mho/cm) in the boiler water?
Partial Blowdown
Did you open Main Blow-Off Valve slowly and carefully for approximately 3-5 seconds?
Did you immediately close and allow boiler to operate in a normal manner?
Complete Blowdown (Only when required)
Did you manually turn off the Main Gas Cock nearest burner?
Did you wait approximately 30 seconds and allow pressure to drop at least 5 PSI?
Did you open the quick opening main Blow-Off Valve carefully and slowly until fully open?
