Set the ENERGY SELECT dial to 'ECG MON ON' position to activate the self-diagnostic function.

Are spots indicating synchronization positions appearing at the rising portions of the ECG simulated waveforms?

Replace the battery if necessary.

Store the spare battery in a dry, cool place.
