Set the ENERGY SELECT dial to 'ECG MON ON' position to activate the self-diagnostic function.

Did the 'READY' message appear on the CRT screen?

Select the TEST mode using the LEAD select key.

Press the SYNC MODE select key to illuminate the SYNC mode indicator lamp.

Verify that spots indicating synchronization positions appear at the rising portions of the ECG simulated waveforms and a sound synchronized with the waveform is emitted.
